How it all began...

It was Debbie's 30th birthday and she was feeling the urge to do something a little different. She got hold of her pal, Jim, and as he is a banana short of a bunch, he agreed to go zorbing with her. For the uninitiated, this is the practice of harnessing yourself into a large golfball and being flung down a hill.

Well, Jim did a bit of local research and discovered that zorbing is a seasonal activity that goes dormant in the winter months. So, that evening, Debbie and Jim went out on the razzle and had one too many pina coladas. Debbie mooted (slurred) the idea that if they couldn't go zorbing, then they were bl**dy well going to find a hill and roll down it. And the rest, boys and girls, as they say, is history.

Well, the sun rose the next morning and it was high in the sky when Debbie finally stirred. Jim had assumed that it had been the booze talking, and that she would have not only decided against the idea, but would actually have forgotten she had ever suggested it. No chance. Debbie bounded in and excitedly spluttered, "Well, which hill are we going to, then?" The answer, when it came, was White Horse Hill
